Reflection: Lesson 4
I did not have a chance to teach this lesson in full, however we were able to work in discussion groups or their "book club" to talk about what was happening in the book. This seemed very affective. The questions they were given were mostly to help them put themselves into the story, and to help them relate themselves with the characters in the story.
The section of conflict that I did not get to teach would have helped the students decipher the difference between external and internal conflict and in return relating it to "Holes."
Overall, the lesson would've have hit many areas of discussion from small group to large, and allowed the students to see another literary form in the book "Holes."
